How To Make A Baby Card From A Gift Bag

I've always enjoyed making homemade cards.  I was in need of a card for a new baby and decided to make the card using a gift bag.

I still have an abundance of baby girl themed gift bags from my baby shower for my little Peanut.  I can't believe my baby shower was almost two years ago!

Here's how to make your own card from a gift bag.

Pick a gift bag with small or repetitive designs.  That way you can get a lot of cards out of the same bag and the design will fit on the card.  This bag even has glitter on one side. Super cute!

Next pick a piece of cardstock that coordinates with the bag.  I decided to go with yellow.

Cut your paper to size. I was making a 5x7 card, so I cut my 8.5x11 piece of letter sized paper to 7x10.

Choose a design from your bag and cut it out.  I chose the kitty on the bottom left corner along with a tag that said 'baby'.

Fold your paper in half and choose the placement for your design on the card.

Tape down your design with double sided sticky tape.

All done!  Pick an envelope for your card and it's ready to go!

I added a printed verse to go inside the card.

I'll have this verse available for you as a free printable in an upcoming post.  Make sure to sign up for Mimi, Mommy and Me posts via email on the upper right corner of my page so you know as soon as it's posted!  Or you can find me on Bloglovin.  In the meantime check out my other free printables on my free printables page.  :)
